JUST IN TIME FOR JUNETEENTH
South African Wine, Art, & Culture Collide to Inspire Diversity in
Mission Valley, San Diego
San Diego, CA – June 2021 – While they’re popping up, you won’t find them in a tent. This June, Roots & Vines: Life is Art Gallery welcome the public to experience fine wine, art, and culture at the Westfield Mission Valley Mall. Visit the store daily to learn about award-winning South African wine made by Black women, view the art gallery, and experience weekly COVID-friendly cultural events.
Roots & Vines Gallery hosts an evening wine and art conversation every Monday through Thursday, where the story of South African wine and women is shared. Listen to the sounds of African jazz and enjoy networking with those who appreciate fine wine and culture.
When you stop by the gallery, you can enjoy the art of local artists. Kim Phillips-Pea curates the gallery, which features artists from the Southeast Art Team. Artists display and sell their work seven days a week.
Each Friday in June, participate in the Literary Circle hosted by Angela Rena & Co, LLC. Every Friday evening, an author will read from their published works, speak on their journey, and sell autographed copies of their book. The art of the written word will fill your heart and inspire your senses, just in time to start your weekend.
To celebrate the opening of Roots & Vines: Life is Art Gallery, on Saturday, June 26, 2021, the venue will host a Paint & Sip from 4 pm to 6 pm. The Toombao African bazaar will fill the air with cultural music worldwide, spun by House Gone Wild International throughout the evening; until 9 pm
